Gratuitous picture of myself… with Stefan Sagmeister. Is it me, or do we both look crazy?
As I’m now officially an artist for adidas, I decided to create a gratuitous self-portrait in the adidas “geeked up” style… Also, because I’m a geek.
I call this, “Vector Isometric Abstract”… But it could also be named, “Practicing new illustrator workflows”. Either way, enjoy!

In 2012 Employment Plus moved it’s corporate headquarters to a 20k+ sq. ft. office building. As the primary designer, my goal was to create a corporate space that best represents the processes, resources and people that are credited with the company’s success.
Here is the final designs and photos of the final execution. All design work was done by myself. The 600 DPI Direct-Print Ultraboards were printed by the Harding Poorman Group out of Indianapolis.

Design work completed during 2009-2010 as Jr Graphic Designer for the American Camp Association.
The American Camp Association is an organization dating back over 100 years and is a leading authority in youth development. During my time as Jr Graphic Designer at the ACA I developed marketing collateral, advertisements, branding, and various publications in both print and online mediums for diverse audiences of up to 10,000 members, businesses, camps, and individuals. This was my first job out of college and proved to be a great learning experience that gave me a lot of insight into how a communications team works, and how design can both impact business as well as a greater good. Seth Teeters, Marketing Specialist.
After two years of designing for the American Camp Association I have moved to a new position as Marketing Specialist with Employment Plus in Bloomington, Indiana. Today was my first day and I’m proud to say that I believe this will be a challenging, diverse, and rewarding step in my career that will provide opportunity to grow and learn. As I move forward, I will be focussing heavily on refining my skills as a designer, expanding my knowledge of business and marketing, and studying the impact that a properly marketed message can have in the business world.
My current goals have not changed much from my college goals:
My career goals are very simple. To constantly learn, constantly adapt to our changing world (both in design and actuality), and to never get comfortable.
My current goals are as follows:
- 1-year: in a position to begin the Internet Marketing Graduate Certificate.
- 5-year: in a position to begin my Masters Degree.
- 10-year: Creative Director in a challenging firm.
As we all know, our goals change with our experiences. I expect my experiences to shape and change these goals as I go, however for now I will be networking, studying, and living in Design & Marketing.
I’ll try to keep you updated and to share the insights I learn along the way.
KRESADO (kri•sha•doh)
A repeat client recently came to me needing a logo for a musical group he was starting. He had employed me twice in the past for other groups that he was performing with. As in the past, he needed artwork that would lead the band onstage, represent their sound, and help to define themselves.
The KRESADO brand is representative of the electro-pop fusion group that is currently engulfing the IU campus and will soon begin its rise in the competitive music industry of LA.

Here is the ad I created for a local wedding coordinator & florist that you can see in the most recent issue of Bloom Magazine. The photos are of one of her weddings and were taken by Lisa Walker.

Building on the last post, I’ve compiled examples of typographic ligatures for ‘etc.’ (&c) designed by Richard Beatty in the late 20th century.

& (the ampersand) is a ligature for ‘et’, latin for ‘and’. Although archaic you can use ‘&c’ the same as ‘etc’ as a shortened ‘Et cetera’. & (the ampersand) being a ligature for ‘et’, I am curious to whether there are any historical examples of ligatures being designed for ‘etc’.
I created this as an example of what a ligature for ‘etc’ could look like. Join the conversation, http://typophile.com/node/75008
