It might be a little early to be thinking about this, but I’m obsessive about design and am always thinking about design, and my future with it. I like to think of it as a healthy obsession. Here are a few places I have researched and would consider doing my masters degree (in few years)….

IIT Institute of Design Masters of Design
In Chicago, this program has very serious degrees. It looks like an intense school for people who are willing to do a lot of hard work. But it looks worth it. 

Pratt Institute | School of Art and Design MSc Communications Design
One of the most well known design schools. Stefan Sagmeister went there. It’s also right in New York, another reason to go there.

SCAD | School of Communication Arts MFA Graphic Design or MFA Advertising
Several great degree programs for the communication arts. I’d really like to go here. Everything about this program looks great.

School of Visual Arts MFA Design
An interesting looking school and curriculum. Right in New York city with small classes and students coming from all over the world.

Full Sail University MFA Media Design
This is where I got my BSc in Digital Arts & Design, so of course I’ve been considering it. Currently this is only an online course though, which I am not considering. So if they make an on-campus masters I will be considering going back… considering.

Herron School of Art and Design MFA Visual Communication
Right here in Indianapolis is a very good looking degree focusing a lot of design thinking and design leadership. This is a very real option for me.

Addition(3-31-10)
Indiana University School of Fine Arts MFA Graphic Design
This degree is in my top 3 for actually doing. It’s a 3 year program, which I would actually prefer to the shorter programs (it’s not a race). The program looks diverse, but I really need to go there and see more before I can decide.

University of Reading MA Type Design
Well, this program just made the top of my list. If you know anything about me then you know I’m obsessed with typography. This program looks like exactly what I need. Also, 12 months in the UK would be interesting.
