Here is the ad I created for a local wedding coordinator & florist that you can see in the most recent issue of Bloom Magazine. The photos are of one of her weddings and were taken by Lisa Walker.
A Holiday card I created for the American Camp Association. Lettering is stock.

This is an illustration I created for an annual conference held by the SouthEastern division of the American Camp Association.
Building on the last post, I’ve compiled examples of typographic ligatures for ‘etc.’ (&c) designed by Richard Beatty in the late 20th century.

& (the ampersand) is a ligature for ‘et’, latin for ‘and’. Although archaic you can use ‘&c’ the same as ‘etc’ as a shortened ‘Et cetera’. & (the ampersand) being a ligature for ‘et’, I am curious to whether there are any historical examples of ligatures being designed for ‘etc’.
I created this as an example of what a ligature for ‘etc’ could look like. Join the conversation, http://typophile.com/node/75008
Need a Typeface? Lettering? or just some cool Typography? What can I do for ya? CantGoWrong@SethTeeters.net (you really can’t)
Wanna play a flash game!?!?! Click here to go play this flash game I created during my advanced actionscript course at Full Sail University. The game was created from concept to code entirely by myself with no use of pre-existing code. It was created for the simple purpose of allowing me to push my programming skills and wasn’t created with the end-user in mind, so you may not find it exhilarating, unless you <3 code too.
Click here to see the live version of this flash ad banner I created while I was a student at Full Sail University. Everything in the banner was redrawn by myself inside of Flash to bring down the overall file size below 40k. Looks pretty sweet, eh?
Holiday Card design I made for Camping Magazine and the American Camp Association.
Vector-Photorealism by Seth Teeters.
Adobe Illustrator is mostly known for being able to create specific styles of graphics. I saw this as a limitation and wanted to show that you could create anything with Adobe Illustrator, even photorealistic images. This would be a two-page spread followed by another two-page spread (top and bottom image, respectively) that shows the outline and reveals that this really is not a photograph.
David T. Jones of AdLand (and Chief Creative Officer of Third Street) added me to his twitter list of ‘Geniuses of Advertising’. I don’t feel I’ve earned a title like that …yet. But, I will do my best to fulfill it. Thank you.
Font Made of Coffee by Seth Teeters (for you)
I made this font by hand placing real coffee beans and photographing the letters individually. Each letter is about 7inches tall at 300dpi. For most people the font can be purchased online at http://www.istockphoto.com/sethteeters but for you… send me an email (via the contact page of my site) with the subject “who rocks?” and it’s yours free! I’ll even throw in my Light Font (if you’re nice). Both are commercially usable (not redistributable) so tell everyone you know, they’re only free for this weekend.. Who Rocks?
Where I Want to Get My Masters…
It might be a little early to be thinking about this, but I’m obsessive about design and am always thinking about design, and my future with it. I like to think of it as a healthy obsession. Here are a few places I have researched and would consider doing my masters degree (in few years)….
IIT Institute of Design Masters of Design
In Chicago, this program has very serious degrees. It looks like an intense school for people who are willing to do a lot of hard work. But it looks worth it.
Pratt Institute | School of Art and Design MSc Communications Design
One of the most well known design schools. Stefan Sagmeister went there. It’s also right in New York, another reason to go there.
SCAD | School of Communication Arts MFA Graphic Design or MFA Advertising
Several great degree programs for the communication arts. I’d really like to go here. Everything about this program looks great.
School of Visual Arts MFA Design
An interesting looking school and curriculum. Right in New York city with small classes and students coming from all over the world.
Full Sail University MFA Media Design
This is where I got my BSc in Digital Arts & Design, so of course I’ve been considering it. Currently this is only an online course though, which I am not considering. So if they make an on-campus masters I will be considering going back… considering.
Addition (12-18-09)
Bolder Digital Works at Colorado University.
This place looks really interesting. I’m looking forward to see more from here.
Addition(1-29-10)
Herron School of Art and Design MFA Visual Communication
Right here in Indianapolis is a very good looking degree focusing a lot of design thinking and design leadership. This is a very real option for me.
Addition(3-31-10)
Indiana University School of Fine Arts MFA Graphic Design
This degree is in my top 3 for actually doing. It’s a 3 year program, which I would actually prefer to the shorter programs (it’s not a race). The program looks diverse, but I really need to go there and see more before I can decide.
Addition(8-27-10)
University of Reading MA Type Design
Well, this program just made the top of my list. If you know anything about me then you know I’m obsessed with typography. This program looks like exactly what I need. Also, 12 months in the UK would be interesting.
